         Memory verse: "So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I AM The Lord, The Holy One in Israel."  Ezekiel 39:7

2.  How careful should we be in using God’s name? And why should we be careful? The Lord will not hold us guiltless if we take His name in vain.

         "This commandment not only prohibits false oaths and common swearing, but it forbids us to use The name of God in a light or careless manner, without regard to its awful significance. By the thoughtless mention of God in common conversation, by appeals to him in trivial matters, and by the frequent and thoughtless repetition of His name, we dishonor Him. Psalms 111:9 all should mediate upon His majesty, His purity and holiness, that the heart may be impressed with a sense of his exalted character:..” Patriarchs and Prophets 306,307

            3. How did Moses show reverence for the place where God appeared to him? Exodus 3:5 "...Put off thy _____________ from off thy feet." God asked Moses to take off his shoes. How were the children of Israel to show reverence at Mount Sinai? Exodus 19:10-13 sanctify themselves and “... ____________their clothes...." Before they came before God. "The Bible makes it clear that there is a difference between that which is hallowed and that which is common. We ignore those differences at great risk to ourselves.

         "Humility and reverence should characterize the deportment of all who come into the presence of God. In the name of Jesus we may come before Him with confidence, but we must not approach Him with the boldness of presumption, as though He were e were on level with ourselves.” Patriarchs and Prophets 252

            4. How did David speak of coming before God to worship? Psalm 95:6 "O  come, let us _________ and __________ ___________: Let us ____________  before The Lord our maker." Now lets see what Daniel did. Daniel 6:10 "Now when Daniel knew the writing was signed, he went into His House; And His window open in His chamber toward Jerusalem, he ___________ upon HIS ___________ ____________ _________ a day, and prayed and gave thanks before His ___________, as He did _________."

         "To the humble, believing soul, the House of God on earth is the gate to heaven...  common talking, whispering, and laughing should not be permitted in the house of worship, either before or after the service…. If when the people come into the house of worship, they have genuine reverence for The Lord and bear in mind that they are in His presence, there will be a sweet eloquence in silence." 5 Testimonies 491, 492

            5. What three words does The Apostle Paul use to describe God’s law? Romans 7:12 "Wherefore The law is holy, and The Commandment __________, ___________   and __________."                   

            6. How was the law given? Exodus 20:1. "And God __________ all these words, saying,”.

            7. How can we be blessed? Psalms 119:1 “_________ are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the ________ of The Lord."

Remember The Sabbath day, to ________ it _____________.          11. God’s law is also holy. Exodus 31:13 says, "Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, verily My Sabbaths ye shall keep. For it is a ____________  between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I and The Lord that doeth ____________ you." The Sabbath is very important to our sanctification.

         12. Turn to Deuteronomy 5:1-21 see how many of the Ten commandments you can find here, that was in Exodus 20:8-11

Deuteronomy 5:7 “7Thou shalt have None other gods before me. 8Thou shalt not make thee Any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: 9Thou shalt not Bow down thyself unto them, nor Serve them: for I The Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and forth generation of them that hate me, 11Thou shalt Not take the name of The Lord thy God in vain: for The Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. 12Keep The Sabbath day to sanctify it, as The Lord thy God hath commanded thee. 16Honour thy father and thy mother, as The Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which The Lord thy God giveth thee. 17Thou shalt Not kill. 18Neither shalt thou Commit adultery. 19Neither shalt thou Steal. 20Neither shalt thou Bear false witness against thy neighbour. 21Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbours wife, neither shalt thou Covet thy neighbour’s house, is field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass or anything that is thy neighbour’.

         13. In Genesis 2:3 when God created the first Sabbath, what did God do? He made The Sabbath and blessed and sanctified it, He set it aside to be holy, And not to be used like a common work day. Not only is God’s name holy, His word holy, and The Sabbath is holy, but as well, His law.
